Tendulkar and Warne face off for old time's sake.
The Mecca of cricket will be graced by the legends of the game one more time to commemorate the bicentenary of the iconic Lord's Cricket ground in London on Saturday with a star-studded 50-over match between the Marylebone cricket club captained by the leading Test run scorer of all time, Sachin Tendulkar, and rest of the World XI led by the greatest legspinner of all time, Shane Warne.

With Tendulkar and Warne facing off for old time's sake, the Australian will have the company of the leading wicket-taker of all time Muttiah Muralitharan in his corner, while West Indian legend Brian Lara and India's Rahul Dravid will put their best foot forward to counter the spin duo.

If this legion of cricketing stars were not enough to arouse excitement, all of London will have their eyes keenly set on Kevin Pietersen, who was unceremoniously dumped out of the England set-up after the Ashes tour, as he will turn up for the Rest of the World XI along with an explosive batting line-up consisting of Adam Gilchrist, Virender Sehwag, Shahid Afridi and Yuvraj Singh.

The MCC XI will have the services of enigmatic Brett Lee and Shaun Tait combining with the wily fox Daniel Vettori and the best spinner in business right now, Saeed Ajmal. Paul Collingwood (ROW) and Chirs Read (MCC) add English flavour to the match while Tino Best, Tamim Iqbal, Aaron Finch and Peter Siddle complete the star-studded line-ups.

Cricketing world will walk down the memory lane once again and even though it would not matter who the winner will be, but the prospect of seeing Tendulkar vs Warne, Lara vs Muralitharan, Lee vs Sehwag one more time is simply mouth watering.

Teams:

Marylebone Cricket Club: Sachin Tendulkar (c), Rahul Dravid, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Aaron Finch, Brian Lara, Chris Read (wk), Brett Lee, Umar Gul, Saeed Ajmal, Shaun Tait, Daniel Vettori.
