Keep the ball rolling: Pele to Harbhajan
Harbhajan met the football legend in Brazilian capital.
Rio de Janeiro: The legendary Brazilian footballer Edson Arantes do Nascimento, better known as Pele, had a simple word of advice for ace Indian offspinner Harbhajan Singh.

Harbhajan, who called on The Black Pearl in Rio de Janeiro, described the meeting as a "life time experience," reported The Hindu. Harbhajan, who has 413 wickets from 101 Tests, is currently out of the Indian squad. The 33-year-old last represented India in a Test match a year ago and so it was no surprise when he asked Pele to tell him the best way to fight back.

"Keep the ball rolling," was the living legend's simple advice to Harbhajan. Pele was part of the Brazilian team that won three FIFA World Cups - in 1958, 1962 and 1970. Asked by an awestruck Harbhajan on what it takes to be arguably the greatest sportsman of the world, Pele said, "I played sports to become the best and worked hard to get there. Also it is easier becoming a star but to sustain it is a big challenge. That challenge gets you going."

Hailed as a national hero, Pele also holds the record of being all-time leading goalscorer for Brazil with 77 goals in 92 games. "He somehow knew what cricket is and that it is a great sport in India. He asked me if I had ever played football and I said yes we do play football during our warm-ups. It was a pleasure meeting him. I enjoyed it," Harbhajan said.

"It was a great meeting with the legend. He is a simple man. Football is a simple game, and this big icon is also so simple," said Harbhajan.
