While Hashim Amla with two back-to-back centuries is enjoying his time in Sri Lanka, allrounder Jacques Kallis must be feeling the heat after two batting failures ahead of the third and final ODI at Hambantota on Saturday.

South Africa were sweating over Kallis' fitness before the series and scores of 0 and 1 in the first two matches has put the focus back on the 38-year-old place in the limited overs' squad. But the coach Russell Domingo feels that Kallis will deliver with the bat in due time and no one should doubt his ability.

"Jacques is a quality player. All players go through periods where they don't get runs, and he has gone through two games now," said Domingo. "But there is no question of his pedigree or his quality. For us it's a matter of time before he makes an impact with the bat".

Kallis has been suffering from a back problem for a long time which has very much restricted his availability as a bowler but Domingo insisted that South Africa are still look at him as a bowling option. The 39-year-old though clarified that the team will not risk until Kallis is fully fit.

"Jacques is good enough to play as a specialist batter, but we need him to bowl for us as well. He has a few niggles in his back at the moment, so we won't risk him bowling now, because that will affect his batting," added Domingo.

South Africa will play Sri Lanka in the third and final ODI at Hambantota with question mark on Dale Steyn's availability after the pacer injured his right thumb at Pallekele.
